Last updated: 27 July 2026. This policy applies to the Melopra apps and this website.
What we collect
- Account details. When you create an account we store your email address and an encrypted form of your password, so you can sign in and sync across devices.
- Your practice data. The pieces, exercises, sections, tempos, notes, session history, and schedule you create in the app. This is the content that makes Melopra useful to you, and it is stored so it is available on every device you sign in from.
- Basic technical data. When the app or site runs, we receive standard technical information such as device type, app version, and error reports, used to keep the service working and to fix problems.
How we use it
We use your data only to provide and improve Melopra: to sign you in, sync your library across devices, run the practice schedule, provide support, and diagnose and fix errors. We do not use your practice data to advertise to you, and we do not build a profile of you for marketing.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your practice data with third parties except the service providers below, who process it only to run the service on our behalf.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run Melopra. They process data only as needed to provide their part of the service, and none of them are permitted to use it for their own purposes:
- Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your account and practice data live here.
- Sentry receives crash and error reports so we can find and fix problems. These reports describe how the software behaved. They carry an anonymous account identifier and nothing else about you: not your email, not your name, and none of your practice content. Your notes, your piece and section names, and your profile details are never sent.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and the web app and delivers them to your browser.
- Payments. Purchases made in the iPhone, iPad, or Android apps are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms. Purchases made on the web are processed by Stripe. RevenueCat tells us which subscription you hold so the app can unlock. We never receive or store your full card details.
Where your data is stored
Your account and practice data are stored in Australia. Error reports, payment processing, and subscription records are handled by providers based in the United States, so that limited information is transferred there. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on the standard safeguards those providers offer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and limit who can access it.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated practice data, subject to any records we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your practice data at any time inside the app.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings, Account, Delete account. This removes your account and your practice data permanently. If you would rather we did it for you, email us and we will.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise them, contact us at [email protected].
- If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to a regulator. In Australia that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. In the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office. In the European Economic Area, your national data protection authority.
Cookies and local storage
The app and site use local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to cache your data for a fast, offline-friendly experience. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Children
Melopra is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
